This fridge has them all, from the Keurig K cup coffee maker on the door to a sophisticated dispenser of water. But these flourishes don't mask mediocre performance, especially in the refrigerator's freezer and an ineffective temperature-controlled drawer. Given that this fridge costs a premium, I expect better.

Aside from that blip the fridge is a great option. It has a large freezer compartment, which is uncommon in counter-depth French door fridges, and it can hold a decent amount of frozen food when compared to similar models.

The fridge has 17 shelves and compartments. The refrigerator compartment has 18.5 cubic feet of space, which is about what you would expect from the size of a French door refrigerator that costs this much. It has a decent-sized freezer in the left side. But it's not the biggest one I've seen.

They're easy to open and close, but I found their plastic textured coatings a bit difficult on the fingers.

The GE PGE29BYTFS Smart Refrigerator comes with all the features you would expect from a refrigerator in this price range. It has Wi-Fi as well as app support, and GE's SmartHQ Software. The app, available for iOS and Android devices, lets you control your refrigerator from anywhere in the world, and it has numerous options for customization. It also sends you notifications when the door is left unlocked, when the freezer or fridge requires defrosting, and when the filter requires a change.

One of the nice features of this refrigerator is that its ice maker is in the freezer, making it easy to move frozen ice to the fridge to be used when it is required. The freezer is designed with thoughtful elements, as well, such as sliding drawers that help better organize the placement of your items. It's also a bit cheaper than the top counter depth refrigerator that comes with an ice maker, which makes it an attractive choice.

Frigidaire Counter Depth French Door Refrigerator
